Importing products

We have two methods for importing product: the "In-App" method and the "Chrome Extension" method. We only recommend using the Chrome extension when the In-App method doesn't work.

In-App method

To import products via In-App method, follow these steps:

  1. Go to your Migratify app. In the Product URL field, simply paste the product URL or collection URL.

  2. Optionally, you can adjust your import settings. There are a few options, such as automatically adding the imported products to a collection, price multiplier, product status after import, product type, and track quantity.

  3. Optionally, you can edit the product details first before importing them. You can use Magic edit to edit the product details using AI. This can help you improve your product description to make it SEO friendly, make it more engaging, improve the title, generate product tags based on the description, and more! You can manually enter your prompt, and our AI will do the magic.

Once you have reviewed the product details in the product preview section on the right side, you can now proceed to migrate your product. Simply click the Start migration button to start the process.

Chrome extension method

To import product details using the Chrome Extension method, make sure you have already installed the Migratify Chrome extension. We only recommend this option if the In-App method does not work or you're importing from websites protected by captchas or passwords.

Installing the Migratify Chrome Extension

  1. Go to the Extension page in your app.

  2. Click the "Install now" button. This will redirect you to the Chrome Web Store.

  3. Click "Add to Chrome."

  4. Enter your Extension app key, which can be found on the Extension page in the app.

Importing using the Chrome Extension

  1. Navigate to a product page.

  2. Open Migratify Chrome extension.

  3. Click "Import product".

FAQs

What kind of URL should I enter in the field?

You can enter a product URL or a collection URL. When you enter a product URL, this will import a single product; when you enter a collection URL, this will import the collection products.

Can I import all products from a store with a single click?

Yes, you can! But note that we only support importing all products from a store if that store is a Shopify store. To do this, simply paste the homepage URL in the field.

The In-App method is not working

If the in-app method is not working, use the Chrome extension to import products. Please note that when importing products using the Chrome extension, you can only import 1 product at a time, and you can't import the whole collection in a single click.

What websites are supported for importing products?

We support thousands of websites including WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Amazon, Etsy, and custom websites

Is this a dropshipping app?

No, Migratify is not a dropshipping app. It's an app for migrating products from your other stores/platforms. Its main functionality is mainly for copying product details to save you time.

What is extension app key and how do I find it?

To find your extension key, just go to your app's dashboard and then click "Extension" in the navigation menu.

Please refer to this screenshot for instructions on how to copy the extension app key.

After copying the extension app key, paste it into your Chrome extension app key field. This will establish a connection between the Chrome extension and our app.

After that, you can start importing.

I imported my products, but they do not show in my store.

If you imported products but they're not showing in your store, there was probably an error processing them on our backend. In this case, provide the product URL so we can investigate and fix the issue.

Some product information are missing after import

If product information is missing, such as variants, prices, images, descriptions, and other related product data, please provide the URL to our customer support so they can investigate and fix the issue.
